Zheng Guo, Professor
I did my PhD in the lab of Zhaohui Wang at the Institute of Developmental and Genetic Biology, CAS. I then went to Columbia University, New York, for my postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Benjamin Ohlstein. In 2016, I became a professor in the Department of Medical Genetics at Tongji Medical School, HUST. Since then, I have been recruiting young and talented people to work with me to solve how intestinal stem cells make a functional intestinal epithelium.

Song Wu, Postdoctoral Fellow
I received my Ph.D in Dr. YongQing Zhang’s lab (Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences), and my work was focused on uncovering the function of autism-associated Shank protein in Drosophila neuronal system. Currently, I am interested in studing the mechanism of “High-Low Notch signal” formation and fate regulation in Drosophila intestinal stem cells.
Ruizhi Tang, Postdoctoral Fellow
I obtained my PhD degree from University of Montpellier (Université de Montpellier) in 2017. During my PhD period, I worked in Michael Hahne’s lab at IGMM (Institut de Génétique Moléculaire de Montpellier, CNRS-UMR 5535), to study the role of primary cilia in intestine homeostasis and tumor development. I jointed Guo’s Lab in 2018, and focused on live imaging methods for studying Drosophila intestinal stem cells.
Tong Dong, Ph.D. candidates
I received my bachelor's degree in bioengineering from Wuhan university of science and technology, and then my master's degree in bioengineering from Huazhong agricultural university. Now I'm interested in multifunctional differentiation of intestinal stem cells.
Peizhong Qin, Ph.D. candidates
I received my M.A. from the Hua Zhong university of science and technology in Dr. Jing Yao’s lab, where I studied the gating mechanism of TRPV1 ion channel which plays an important role in the transmission and modulation of pain. I am now interested in using genetic approaches to study the molecular mechanisms of aging in Drosophila.
Junjun Gao, Ph.D. candidates
I earned a B.S. in Biology Science from Huazhong University Of Science and Technology where I studied plantnstress resistance. Now, my interest is the ture functions of enteroendocrine cells in Drosophila.
Wu You, Ph.D. candidates
I received my M.A. from the Hua Zhong university of science and technology in Dr. Wenqi Liu's lab, where I studied the regulation of mitochondrial autophagy which plays an important role in the schistosomiasis liver fibrosis. I am now interested in the determination of intestinal stem cells in Drosophila

Xueying Wei, Postgraduate
As an undergraduate,I studied basic biological experiment technology in Jishou University. In 2019, I entered the Guo’s laboratory to learn about the knowledge of Drosophila genetics. Now, I am interested in the mechanism of stem cell differentiation regulation.
